Turn your area into a cherry grove
/fillbiome ~-15 ~-15 ~-15 ~15 ~15 ~15 minecraft:cherry_groveThe area around you becomes Cherry Grove, with its grass color.

/fillbiome changes the biome of a cuboid area without touching the blocks. The new biome brings its own grass and water colors, weather and natural mob spawns. The replace option limits the change to certain biomes or a biome tag.
/fillbiome <from> <to> <biome> [replace <filter>]| Argument | Expects | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| from | Block coordinates (x y z) | First corner of the area, absolute or relative coordinates. |
| to | Block coordinates (x y z) | Opposite corner of the area. The change snaps to 4 × 4 × 4 biome cells. |
| biome | ID · biome | New biome ID, such as minecraft:cherry_grove or minecraft:plains. |
| filteroptional | ID or #tag · biome | After replace: only these biomes change, a biome ID or a tag such as #minecraft:is_ocean. |
/fillbiome ~-15 ~-15 ~-15 ~15 ~15 ~15 minecraft:cherry_groveThe area around you becomes Cherry Grove, with its grass color.
/fillbiome ~-15 ~-10 ~-15 ~15 ~10 ~15 minecraft:mushroom_fieldsIn Mushroom Fields, hostile mobs no longer spawn naturally.
/fillbiome ~-15 ~-10 ~-15 ~15 ~10 ~15 minecraft:plains replace #minecraft:is_oceanOcean cells in the area become Plains; every other biome stays.
Fill in the fields, then copy the command.

One command covers at most 32,768 blocks by default, the same max_block_modifications limit as /fill; above it, the game answers "Too many blocks in the specified volume (maximum 32768, but specified 35937)".
A Mushroom Fields zone keeps hostile mobs from spawning naturally, and a Cherry Grove tints the grass. With replace, a tag such as #minecraft:is_ocean targets every ocean at once. To find a biome to copy, use /locate.

No. Only the biome changes. Grass and leaves take the new colors, but the terrain itself stays the same.
Biomes are stored in 4 × 4 × 4 cells, so the change always follows that grid.
Type it in the chat with cheats on: /fillbiome <from> <to> <biome> [replace <filter>].
