End Midlands biome in Minecraft
The End Midlands are the slopes of the outer End islands, between the high plateaus of the End Highlands and the bare edges of the End Barrens. They are plain End Stone with no decoration of their own, but End Cities can still generate here, so they are worth a careful look on your way.

Structures in the End Midlands
Where the Midlands lie
On the outer islands, the land drops in steps from the center toward the void. The End Highlands form the top, the Midlands the slopes and terraces around them, and the End Barrens the low edges. The ground is End Stone and nothing else.
What you find here
The Midlands generate no feature of their own: no chorus and no gateways. Chorus Plants only generate in the Highlands, so any you spot here grow near the border. An End City is the exception: it can generate in the Midlands as well as in the Highlands, with its Shulkers and loot. The only mob that spawns naturally is the Enderman.
The gentle slopes make the Midlands an easy place to walk between plateaus or to set up a small outpost near a city. Watch the edges, though: one wrong step and the void takes you and your items.
Getting there
The Midlands belong to the outer islands, about a thousand blocks from the dragon's island. Once the dragon is dead, throw an Ender Pearl into an End Gateway on the central island and you land on the outer islands. From the plateau where you arrive, walk outward until the ground starts to slope.

Chorus Plants only generate in the End Highlands. You can still plant a Chorus Flower on the End Stone of the Midlands and grow your own.
How do you tell the Midlands from the Highlands?
Open the debug screen, which shows the biome you are standing in. As a rule, the Midlands are the slopes below the flat central plateau of an island.
