Bottles o' Enchanting, Ender Pearls, emeralds for Rotten Flesh

An Ender Pearl is a throwable item that teleports you to the spot where it lands. It is also half of the recipe of the Eye of Ender, which leads you to the stronghold and the End.
It cannot be crafted; it can be found in chests.
Throw it and you are teleported as soon as it hits a block or a mob, at the cost of a little damage (5 health points, or two and a half hearts). It is the fastest way to cross a ravine, escape a fight or climb onto a ledge. There is a one second cooldown between throws, and pearls stack to 16.
Each landing has a small chance (5%) to spawn an Endermite. A pearl thrown while you are falling replaces the fall damage with its own damage, which can save you from a deadly fall.
Endermen drop them, Piglins can give them when bartering and Cleric villagers sell them. Combine one with Blaze Powder to craft an Eye of Ender.
