What changes from one biome to the next
- Plains: Cobblestone walls, stripped oak log corners and a stepped oak roof. It has its own full blueprint page.
- Desert: a flat-roofed box of Smooth Sandstone with a Sandstone Slab roof, a Jungle Door and a potted cactus.
- Savanna: Yellow Terracotta walls on Acacia Wood, under a stepped acacia roof like the one of the plains house.
- Taiga: a cabin of Spruce Logs and Cobblestone with Spruce Trapdoor shutters and a steep log roof.
- Snowy plains: walls and roof of Packed Ice, with snow piled around the base.
Building tips
Packed Ice and Grass Blocks only drop themselves when mined with Silk Touch. Without it, place Dirt and let grass spread from a nearby Grass Block. The desert and savanna houses keep the ground they stand on (sand, dirt and grass): you can skip those blocks if you build on flat ground. See also the village structure page.

FAQ
Which village house is the easiest to build?
The plains house: it has the fewest block types of the five, and none of them needs Silk Touch.
Can I place these houses with a command?
Yes. Each house has its /place template command. The command uses the raw game template, so remove the jigsaw blocks it leaves behind.
How many blocks does each village house need?
Plains: 153, Desert: 116, Savanna: 176, Taiga: 216, Snowy Plains: 112.
Are these the only village houses?
No. Each village biome has many buildings (small and medium houses, workplaces, farms). This page shows one small house per biome, the easiest to rebuild.
