Sandstone, Grass Block

Sand covers deserts, beaches and riverbeds, and it is one of the few blocks that fall: remove what holds it up and it drops until it lands. Smelted, it becomes glass, and it is the base of sandstone, TNT and concrete.
It cannot be crafted; it can be found in chests. It is mined with a shovel.
Because sand falls, it is useful for quick bridges down into water, for filling holes and for traps, but it also catches you out when you dig under it. Torches, slabs or any block placed in its way stop the fall; a falling block that lands on a torch breaks into an item.
In a furnace, each sand block turns into one Glass block, the reason big glass builds start at the beach. Four sand make a Sandstone block, four with five gunpowder make TNT, and four sand with four gravel and a dye make eight blocks of colored concrete powder, which hardens into concrete when it touches water.
Cactus can only grow on sand or red sand, and Sugar Cane grows on sand next to water. In desert ruins, temples and wells, the speckled Suspicious Sand hides relics you uncover with a brush.
This item has no crafting recipe.
Sandstone, Grass Block
one Cobblestone, one Sand, one Wheat Seeds, and so on.
Grass Block, Sand, Mud and Moss Block work as well.
Mining the block drops it. It can be found as loot in Desert Pyramid. Sold by Wandering Trader.
It is smelted into glass and crafted into sandstone, TNT and concrete powder; cactus and sugar cane grow on it. It is an ingredient in 19 recipes, made at the Crafting Table and Furnace; for example Cyan Concrete Powder, Glass, Gray Concrete Powder, Green Concrete Powder, Light Blue Concrete Powder and 11 more.
The fastest tool is the shovel.
Placed under a Note Block, Sand gives the Snare drum sound.
