Get it in your world

This build is 62 × 17 × 40 blocks, more than the 48 a structure block can hold on one axis, so it comes in 2 parts. Stand on one spot and run every command from there: each one already contains its offset, so the parts line up. Needs cheats (permission level 2).

Structure files (.nbt) for Java Edition, one per part. Put all 2 in saves/<world>/generated/blockaria/structure/, then run the commands above from one spot, or load each part with a Structure Block at its offset.

The house

The central body carries the upper floor between two single-storey wings: a bedroom and an office on the west, the workshop, the cellar and the garages on the east. On the north side the music room rises through both levels behind eight-pane windows topped with carved sandstone; on the south a porch on columns carries the balcony. The walls are Terracotta on a Sandstone plinth, with Sandstone frames around the windows, three panes wide downstairs and two upstairs, and a Sandstone cornice overhanging by one block. The roofs are very flat hips in Acacia Planks and Slabs. The ground floor is Smooth Sandstone, the upper floor Birch Planks; a gravel terrace lies to the north, a sandstone path and steps to the south, and the garage floor stays at ground level while the house floor sits one block higher, as the plan notes.

Build order

  1. Plinth. The Sandstone base and the raised Smooth Sandstone floor, Stone in the garages, gravel on the north terrace and in the yard, the path and steps to the south.
  2. Ground floor. Four rows of Terracotta with Sandstone frames, columns in the hall and on the porch, the main staircase with its landing, the garage doors and the service door.
  3. Upper floor. The seventh layer is the Birch floor, with voids over the staircase and the music room, and the balcony on the porch slab with its railing of reversed stairs. Four more rows on the central body, the wings stop at their cornice.
  4. Roofs. The cornice first, one block out. Then the hips: a full row at the edge, then one more half slab every two blocks, on the wings and on the central body.
  5. Parts. The build is wider than one structure block holds: place part 1, then part 2 from the same spot with the commands on this page.

Interior

Proposal only: a bed, a bedside and a chest in the ground-floor bedroom, a desk and shelves in the office, tubs and basins in the bathrooms, bookshelves and a table in the library, a piano made of a Jukebox and a Note Block in the music room, a sofa and a low table in the living room, a worktop in the kitchen, a long table in the dining room, a workbench in the workshop, barrels in the cellar, and upstairs a bed in each of the three bedrooms and a games table.

Credits

Plan by Courfeyracs, from the original article on minecraft.fr. The block choices and the interior are Blockaria's interpretation of that plan and its photos: the floor plan gives the walls, doors and windows, the photos give the heights and the roofs, and everything else is a proposal.

The house is wider than one structure block can hold, so it comes in 2 parts. Stand on one spot and run the commands on this page one after the other: each part already carries its offset, so they fit together.

FAQ

Can I build it in survival?

Yes, but it is one of the largest houses of the series: about twenty-four stacks of terracotta and some thirty of sandstone, plus acacia for the roofs. No block needs Silk Touch except the lawn.

How do I place the two parts?

Stand on one spot and run the two commands from the page one after the other. Each already contains its offset, so the second part lands exactly east of the first. Needs cheats.

What can I change?

White or orange Terracotta changes the colour of the villa; Dark Oak instead of acacia gives darker roofs. The music room can become a tall entrance hall.

How many blocks do you need for the Italian Villa?

7525 blocks of 33 types, over 17 layers. The biggest items: 1658 × Birch Planks, 1527 × Terracotta, 1266 × Acacia Slab.

How do you place the Italian Villa with a command?

Type /place template blockaria:italian_villa.part-1 ~ ~ ~ · /place template blockaria:italian_villa.part-2 ~31 ~ ~ in a world with cheats on. The build appears with its north-west bottom corner at your position.
