Break Short Grass for Wheat Seeds (1 chance in 8 per plant):

Short Grass grows in plains and many other biomes; it sometimes drops Wheat Seeds, and bone meal makes it tall. Grass and ferns are filler plants that make landscapes look lush.
It cannot be crafted; it can be found in chests. It can be composted: each one has a 30% chance to add a layer to a Composter.
They break instantly and drop nothing but the occasional seeds, unless you use Shears to collect the plant itself. Water and pistons destroy them, and they can be replaced by placing a block over them.
Compost them for bone meal, or keep them with shears to decorate gardens and parks.
This item has no crafting recipe.
