Short Dry Grass is a low tuft that sheep can graze; bone meal makes it tall. Dry vegetation grows in deserts and badlands, on sand, terracotta and dirt. Dry plants work the same; the Dead Bush page explains them.
It can be composted: each one has a 30% chance to add a layer to a Composter. As fuel it burns for 5 seconds in a Furnace, enough to smelt 0.5 items.
