The house

White walls and brick walls under flat white roofs, at three heights: the bedroom wing and the kitchen at three blocks plus a slab, a long brick beam on posts crossing the house from east to west, and the main block at six blocks with a glass band under its roof, where the living room with its fireplace and the dining room stand in double height. The three bedrooms and the bathroom are on the east, the kitchen on the west with a glazed corridor to the garage. The walls are Smooth Quartz and Bricks, the roofs Smooth Quartz Slabs, the windows Glass Panes, the garage door Gray Stained Glass Panes and the driveway Gray Concrete. A south terrace and a pool on the north side are Blockaria's addition after the photos.

Build order

  1. Ground. Grass Blocks around, Oak Planks in the rooms, Smooth Quartz on the south terrace and around the pool, Gray Concrete on the driveway, and the pool basin filled with Water.
  2. Low walls. Three rows of quartz and bricks for the bedroom wing, the kitchen and the garage, with the big windows. Place the slab roofs over them in the fourth layer.
  3. Brick beam. The posts of the intermediate structure, the two-block brick beam on top and its slab, running right through the house.
  4. Main block. Six rows of Smooth Quartz around the living room and the dining room, the last one a band of glass, then the slab roof and the brick chimney.
  5. Finishing. Low brick walls, flower beds along the terrace, the glass corridor and the garage door.

Interior

A proposal: sofas facing the fire in the living room, a long table in the dining room, a worktop in the kitchen, a tub in the bathroom, a bed with a bedside in each of the three bedrooms, a chest in the entrance and a workbench in the garage.

Credits

Plan by Courfeyracs & MyGodness, from the original article on minecraft.fr. The block choices and the interior are Blockaria's interpretation of that plan and its photos: the floor plan gives the walls, doors and windows, the photos give the heights and the roofs, and everything else is a proposal.

FAQ

Can I build it in survival?

Yes, but quartz means a trip to the Nether: about twenty-six stacks of quartz blocks and slabs. The lawn uses Grass Blocks, which need Silk Touch, and the pool needs a few buckets of water.

Why three roof heights?

The original plan notes three wall heights: three blocks for the low rooms, five for the brick structure and six for the main block. The glass band at the top of the main block comes from the photos.

What can I change?

White Concrete replaces quartz block for block, without the Nether. Skip the pool and the terrace if you build on a small plot: they are outside the original plan.

How many blocks do you need for the Contemporary House?

4571 blocks of 27 types, over 10 layers. The biggest items: 1265 × Grass Block, 1201 × Smooth Quartz Slab, 713 × Bricks.

How do you place the Contemporary House with a command?

Type /place template blockaria:contemporary_house ~ ~ ~ in a world with cheats on. The build appears with its north-west bottom corner at your position.
