How to make a cobblestone generator in Minecraft
A cobblestone generator gives you endless Cobblestone from one Lava Bucket and one Water Bucket.

Water is the fluid that fills oceans, rivers and lakes. A source block flows outward up to seven blocks and downhill, a bucket scoops it up and carries it, and two sources side by side make an endless supply.
Pour two water sources with one empty block between them, or in a two-by-two pool, and the gaps fill with new sources: that infinite water source is all a base needs. Falling into water cancels fall damage, and a single source at the bottom of a drop is the classic safety landing. In the Nether, water evaporates as soon as you pour it.
Water changes the blocks it touches. It hydrates Farmland within four blocks, turns concrete powder into concrete and puts out fire and burning mobs. Where flowing water meets lava, a lava source turns into Obsidian and flowing lava into Cobblestone or stone.
Under water you need air: an air bar appears, and when it runs out you start to drown. Doors, signs and conduits help, and potions of water breathing or a turtle shell give more time. Endermen, blazes and snow golems take damage from it, while fish, axolotls and dolphins need it to live.
