The Block of Quartz is the base block, made from four Nether Quartz. Quartz blocks are bright white stones made from the quartz mined in the Nether.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 4 × Nether Quartz. It is mined with a pickaxe.
What it does
Every quartz block starts from four Nether Quartz. From the base block come pillars, chiseled blocks, quartz bricks and smooth quartz, through crafting, a Stonecutter or a furnace. A quartz block cannot be broken back into quartz, so craft only what you need.
Quartz is the classic material of clean, modern builds: white walls, columns and floors with sharp edges. It needs a pickaxe and drops itself.
