How to find a Jungle Pyramid
The game places at most one Jungle Pyramid in each 32 × 32 chunk region, never closer than 8 chunks to the next. It only generates in the Jungle and the Bamboo Jungle, never in the Sparse Jungle. Under the trees it is easy to walk right past it: the grey and green mossy cobblestone blends into the leaves. Climb a tall tree or fly over the area instead. From above, the stepped grey roof stands out clearly against the canopy.
A Jungle Pyramid Map leads you straight there. Apprentice Cartographers sell it for emeralds and a compass, but only villagers of the desert, savanna and swamp types offer it.
What's inside the temple
The temple has three levels: a ground floor, an upper floor under the stepped roof and a basement reached by a staircase from the entrance hall. The two upper levels are empty. Everything worth taking, and everything that can hurt you, is in the basement, a set of narrow corridors with no natural light. Place torches as you go: it keeps mobs from spawning down there and makes the traps much easier to see.
How to disarm the arrow traps
/execute in minecraft:overworld run tp @s -4748.5 108 -2955.5 0 25Two tripwires cross the basement: one across a corridor, the other in front of the main chest. Each string runs between two tripwire hooks and is wired with redstone to a dispenser hidden behind vines. Walk into the string and the dispenser fires arrows at you. The arrows hurt more than they kill, but in the dark the traps are easy to miss.
- Cut the string with Shears. Shears remove a tripwire without setting it off.
- Or break the dispensers. With a pickaxe they drop as items, along with the arrows inside.
- Look for the vines. A patch of vines on a basement wall usually hides a dispenser.
How to solve the lever puzzle
/execute in minecraft:overworld run tp @s -4738.1 108.1 -2950.5 90 5At the far end of the basement, three levers stick out of a wall of chiseled stone bricks. Behind that wall, sticky pistons and a repeater seal off a small room with the second chest. Flip the levers in the right order and the pistons open the way.
The sequence that works: flip the lever farthest from the staircase, then the closest one, then put the closest one back, and finally the farthest one. If you lose track, there is a faster method. Mine through the mossy cobblestone around the levers: the hidden chest sits right behind them.
Loot and what to salvage
The two chests can hold diamonds, gold and iron ingots, emeralds, horse armor, bamboo, an enchanted book with strong enchantments and the Wild Armor Trim smithing template. Then strip the temple itself. The two dispensers, the tripwire hooks, the three sticky pistons, the repeater and the redstone dust are all worth taking, and sticky pistons are otherwise a pain to craft early because they need a Slimeball.

How do you disarm the traps in a Jungle Pyramid?
Cut each tripwire with Shears, which removes it without firing the dispenser, or break the two dispensers with a pickaxe. Each dispenser is hidden behind vines in the basement.
How do you solve the Jungle Pyramid lever puzzle?
Flip the lever farthest from the stairs, then the closest, then flip the closest back and finally the farthest. You can also skip the puzzle and mine through the wall around the levers to reach the hidden chest.
How many chests are in a Jungle Pyramid?
Two. One sits at the end of an arrow-trap corridor, the other in the sealed room behind the levers.
Why can't I find a Jungle Pyramid in a Sparse Jungle?
Jungle Pyramids only generate in the Jungle and the Bamboo Jungle. A Sparse Jungle never has one, even right next to a regular Jungle.
