Tripwire Hook block in Minecraft
A Tripwire Hook, paired with another hook and string, makes a tripwire that sends a signal when crossed.
It is made with the Crafting Table from Oak Planks (or another variant), Iron Ingot and Stick.
What it does
An Iron Ingot, a Stick and a plank make two hooks. Place two facing hooks up to forty blocks apart and connect them with String on the ground: anything walking through triggers both hooks. Cutting the string with shears avoids setting it off. Jungle temples hide such traps with dispensers.
