The bow and the crossbow share Unbreaking and Mending, but every other enchantment belongs to only one of them.

The Crossbow is a slower but stronger alternative to the bow: you load it first, it stays loaded until you shoot, and every shot flies at full power. It can also fire firework rockets, which explode on impact.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 3 × Stick, Tripwire Hook and Iron Ingot. As fuel it burns for 15 seconds in a Furnace, enough to smelt 1.5 items.
What it does
Hold the use button to load an arrow, then release; the next click fires it. Because the crossbow keeps its bolt loaded, you can walk around ready to shoot, and each shot always leaves at maximum speed. A loaded firework rocket becomes an explosive projectile that hurts everything around where it bursts.
Its enchantments change how it plays: Quick Charge shortens loading, Multishot fires three arrows at once, and Piercing lets arrows pass through several mobs. Multishot and Piercing cannot be combined. It lasts 465 uses.
The recipe needs three sticks, two strings, an iron ingot and a tripwire hook. Pillagers and piglins carry crossbows and sometimes drop them, a journeyman Fletcher sells one, and a master sells enchanted ones.
