The Arrow is the standard ammunition of the Bow and the Crossbow, and a Dispenser can shoot it too. It is also the starting point of every special arrow: Spectral Arrows and Tipped Arrows are both crafted from it.
It is made with the Crafting Table from Stick, Flint and Feather.
What it does
With a bow, the longer you draw, the faster and harder the arrow flies; a fully drawn shot leaves a trail of critical hit particles. A crossbow always shoots at full power. Arrows lose speed and fall in a curve, so aim slightly above a distant target.
Arrows you shoot stay stuck in blocks and can be picked up again. Arrows shot by Skeletons and other archer mobs cannot, and neither can the two extra arrows of a Multishot crossbow. A bow with Infinity never uses up plain arrows: one in your inventory is enough, but it does not work with tipped or spectral ones.
An arrow is also a small redstone tool: it presses a wooden button or a wooden pressure plate and keeps it active while it stays stuck there, and it makes a Target block send a signal. An arrow that flies through lava catches fire and sets what it hits alight.
