Infinity enchantment in Minecraft
Infinity lets a bow shoot normal arrows without using them up, as long as you carry at least one. Tipped and spectral arrows are still consumed, and Infinity cannot share a bow with Mending.

What does Infinity do?
Shooting doesn't use up normal arrows: one arrow in your inventory is enough. Tipped and spectral arrows are still used. Can't be combined with Mending.

Keep one arrow in your inventory and the bow never draws from it. The game files limit the effect to the plain arrow, so tipped arrows and spectral arrows are used up as usual. Arrows shot with Infinity cannot be picked up again, so there is nothing to collect after a fight.
Infinity or Mending?
Both sit in the same exclusive group, so you must choose.
- Infinity: you never run out of arrows, but the bow wears out. Add Unbreaking III and repair it on an anvil with another bow when needed.
- Mending: the bow repairs itself with experience and lasts forever, but you need a stock of arrows. A skeleton farm or fletcher villagers solve that.
Infinity suits the early game and long trips away from your base. Mending wins once you have a steady arrow supply.

Pair it with Power V, Punch II, Flame and Unbreaking III. The best bow enchantments page uses Mending by default and lists Infinity as the swap.
