The best bow and crossbow enchantments in Minecraft
Fishing with a Fishing Rod:

The Fishing Rod catches fish, but also junk and treasure, from any water. Cast it, wait for the bobber to dip, and reel in at the right moment. It can also hook mobs and pull them toward you.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 3 × Stick and 2 × String. As fuel it burns for 15 seconds in a Furnace, enough to smelt 1.5 items.
Most catches are fish: cod, salmon, tropical fish and pufferfish. The rest is junk, such as boots, sticks or a bowl, and treasure: enchanted books, bows and rods, name tags, saddles and nautilus shells. Treasure only comes up when the bobber sits in open water, with no blocks around it.
Two enchantments are made for it: Lure makes bites come sooner, and Luck of the Sea makes treasure more likely. Each catch, and each hooked mob, uses up some of its durability, which lasts 64 uses.
Combined with a carrot it becomes a Carrot on a Stick to steer pigs, and with a warped fungus a Warped Fungus on a Stick to ride striders. A journeyman Fisherman sells enchanted rods.
3 × Stick + 2 × String → Fishing Rod
// Slots with several items cycle through every accepted option.
