Raw Salmon item in Minecraft
Raw Salmon comes from fishing and from the salmon that swim up rivers and through cold oceans. It is a weak meal raw, but cooked salmon is one of the most filling foods you can get from water.
It cannot be crafted; it can be found in chests.
What it does
Raw, it restores two hunger points; Cooked Salmon restores six with very high saturation, more than Cooked Cod. A smoker or a campfire cooks it just as well as a furnace.
Like cod, salmon is animal food: it attracts and tames Cats, wins over ocelots, heals tamed wolves and sends a Dolphin toward the nearest treasure. Polar bears sometimes drop salmon, and fishing villages keep some in their chests.
Salmon come in three sizes in the water, and a water bucket used on one keeps it alive in a bucket of salmon. An apprentice Fisherman cooks six raw salmon for an emerald, and a journeyman one buys them.
