Ink Sac item in Minecraft
The Ink Sac is dropped by Squid, one to three each, and sometimes comes up as fishing junk. It is a source of black dye and the ink of the book and quill.
What it does
Crafted on its own, an ink sac gives one Black Dye. Combined with a book and a feather, it makes a Book and Quill, the only book you can write in yourself.
Used on a sign that has been made to glow with a glow ink sac, a regular ink sac removes the glow again. Squid release a cloud of ink when hurt, but only dead squid drop the sac.
A journeyman Librarian buys ink sacs for emeralds, so a squid farm can pay for enchanted books.
