Potion of Oozing how to brew it in Minecraft
A Potion of Oozing gives the Oozing effect: when the affected creature dies, two medium Slimes pop out of it. Thrown on enemies, it turns every kill into more trouble for them, or into a source of Slimeballs if you set it up right.
Brew it step by step
Put Blaze Powder in the fuel slot and up to 3 bottles at the bottom, then add each ingredient at the top.

What Oozing does
When the affected entity dies, it spawns two medium slimes.

Each affected mob or player that dies releases two medium Slimes. They behave like any slime: they hop toward the nearest player and attack. When you kill a medium slime, it splits into small slimes, and the small ones drop Slimeballs.
There is a cap: the game counts the slimes already close by and stops spawning new ones once there are too many, based on the entity cramming threshold. A lingering cloud on a large crowd will not create an endless slime flood.
Good uses
- Turning a mob farm into a slime source. A lingering Oozing cloud over the kill zone of a mob farm means part of the kills come back as slimes, and their small offspring drop Slimeballs. Useful if you have no slime chunk nearby.
- PvP and team fights. Splash the enemy team: each player that falls leaves two slimes in the way of the survivors.
- Annoying an opponent. Drink it yourself, and your killer has to deal with your slimes.
Pitfalls
- The slimes attack you. Medium slimes deal real damage. Be ready to fight them, or keep a way out.
- Slimes themselves are immune. Oozing has no effect on a Slime, so it cannot chain.
- The ingredient is expensive. It takes a full Slime Block, so nine Slimeballs, for up to three potions. Make sure the farm pays back what you put in.
- No long or level II version. Redstone and Glowstone do nothing.
Where the Slimeballs come from
Slimes spawn in Swamps at night and deep underground in slime chunks. The Wandering Trader also sells Slimeballs. Oozing belongs to the same family as the Potion of Weaving, the Potion of Infestation and the Potion of Wind Charging, all built to be used on others.
