Ravager mob in Minecraft
The Ravager is the huge beast that charges into villages during raids. It has as much health as an Iron Golem, hits hard and shrugs off knockback, but a shield, a narrow doorway or a little height turn it into a manageable target.

Command
/summon minecraft:ravager ~ ~ ~When Ravagers show up
Ravagers do not spawn anywhere in the world. They only arrive with raids, in the waves after the first one, next to Pillagers, Vindicators and Evokers. In some waves, an illager rides on its back. Riders fall off when the Ravager goes underwater.
A Ravager attacks players, villagers, wandering traders and iron golems. When it runs into leaves, it breaks through them instead of going around, so a hedge or a tree will not slow it down.
The charge, the stun and the roar
Its attack is a heavy headbutt that throws you back. If you block it with a shield, the Ravager has a one in two chance to be stunned for a moment and stop moving. Right after, it lets out a roar that pushes back everything around it and hurts all but the illagers. The stun is your opening: hit it a few times, then step away before the roar.
How to beat a Ravager
- Block, hit, back off. Repeat the shield stun and attack while it cannot move.
- Use its size against it. A Ravager is almost two blocks wide and more than two blocks tall, so it cannot get through a one-block doorway. Hit it from inside a house, or shoot it from behind a narrow gap.
- Take some height. Like other mobs, it can only step up one block. Two or three blocks of pillar and a bow keep you out of reach.
- Do not count on knockback. It barely moves when hit, so plan to stay out of its way rather than push it back.
- Deal with the rider. An Evoker or a Pillager on its back keeps attacking while you fight the beast.
Saddle drop
Every Ravager drops a saddle, which makes raids an easy source of saddles for horses, pigs, striders and camels. The saddle cannot be put on the Ravager itself: players cannot ride it.

Ravager — FAQ
Can you ride a Ravager?
No. Players cannot ride a Ravager, even with a saddle. Only illagers ride it during raids.
Does a Ravager break blocks?
It breaks leaves that block its path. It cannot get through a one-block doorway because of its size.
What is the best way to stop a Ravager?
Block its charge with a shield to stun it, hit it while it cannot move, and step away before it roars.
Where does the Ravager spawn?
Only in raids on villages. It arrives with some of the waves, sometimes with an illager riding it. It never spawns on its own.
What does a Ravager drop?
Saddle.
