How to get it

Trigger a raid with Bad Omen, which becomes Raid Omen in a village, then defeat every wave: Pillagers, Vindicators, Witches, Evokers and Ravagers. When the last raider falls, the players who fought the raid get Hero of the Village. Its level follows the omen level, so a harder raid pays better.

Discounts

Every trade with villagers gets cheaper while the effect lasts, more so at higher levels. Plan your shopping for this window: enchanted books from librarians, diamond gear from the smiths, or anything you trade for in bulk.

Gifts

Villagers also throw you a gift now and then. Each job has its own:

Butchers: cooked meat. Farmers: Bread, cookies or pumpkin pie. Fishermen: cod or salmon.
Fletchers: arrows and tipped arrows. Armorers: chainmail. Toolsmiths: stone tools. Weaponsmiths: axes.
Librarians: a Book. Clerics: redstone or lapis lazuli. Cartographers: a map or paper. Shepherds: wool. Leatherworkers: leather. Masons: clay.
Villagers without a job give seeds, and baby villagers give a poppy.
