How to get Breath of the Nautilus

Nautiluses live in most ocean biomes, from frozen to warm seas. A wild one is neutral. Tame it with a Pufferfish or a Bucket of Pufferfish, put a Saddle on it and climb on. As long as you ride it underwater, your air bar stays where it is.

What it is good for

The effect turns a Nautilus into a proper diving mount. You can explore Ocean Ruins and Shipwrecks, scout an Ocean Monument from the outside or cross a deep ocean without surfacing every few seconds. Without it you would rely on a Potion of Water Breathing, a helmet with Respiration or an active Conduit.

What it does not cover

Breathing is the only thing it handles. Drowned and Guardians still attack you, and your Nautilus can be hurt too. Get off the mount and you are back on your normal air supply, so do not dismount at the bottom of a trench. For long dives off the saddle, keep a water breathing potion in your hotbar.
