How to make a Copper Golem and sort items with it
Build a Copper Golem, let it sort your Copper Chest into labeled chests, and control its oxidation with Honeycomb and an axe.
The Copper Golem is a small helper you build from a block of copper and a carved pumpkin. It takes items out of copper chests and puts them away in nearby chests that already hold the same item, which makes it a simple, redstone-free sorting system. Left alone, it slowly oxidizes and can end up frozen as a statue.
// Experience drops only when a player kills it. Speeds are the game’s internal values, not blocks per second.
Doesn’t spawn naturally in a biome: it comes from a structure, a spawner, a block or an event.

/summon minecraft:copper_golem ~ ~ ~Place a carved pumpkin on top of a block of copper. The pumpkin turns into a Copper Golem and the copper block into a Copper Chest. Copper is cheap once you have found a few veins, so you can build several golems early in a world.
A Copper Golem works between two kinds of containers:
So the setup is simple. Put a copper chest in the middle of your storage room as the input, then surround it with regular chests, each with one sample of what it should store. Dump your inventory into the copper chest and the golem carries everything to the right place, a handful of items per trip. Keep the room compact: the golem only looks for chests within a short distance.
Like copper blocks, a Copper Golem oxidizes over time and goes through four looks, from shiny orange to green. Use honeycomb on it to wax it and stop the process, or an axe to scrape off one stage.
A fully oxidized golem that is not waxed can eventually stop moving for good and become a Copper Golem Statue. The statue is a decorative block with several poses. When you mine it, it keeps its pose and any name you gave the golem. Wax your sorting golems early if you want them to keep working.

It takes items from copper chests and puts them into nearby chests or trapped chests that already contain the same item, or into empty ones.
Wax it with honeycomb. A waxed golem no longer oxidizes, so it never freezes into a statue.

It doesn’t spawn naturally in biomes.
Copper Ingot. It also drops the item it is holding.
