Iron Boots item in Minecraft
The Iron Boots are a pair of boots, the armor piece worn on your feet. They add armor points and carry the enchantments that change how you walk, swim and fall. Made from four iron ingots, they give 2 armor points and last 195 hits.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 4 × Iron Ingot.
What it does
Boots are the lightest piece of a set: they give the fewest armor points, but they are the only slot for Feather Falling, which greatly reduces fall damage, Depth Strider for walking fast under water, Frost Walker, which freezes water into ice under your steps, and Soul Speed for running on soul sand.
Like all armor, boots also take Protection and its variants, Thorns, Unbreaking and Mending. On a smithing table, an armor trim template adds a decorative pattern in the color of the material you choose.
Put boots on by using them or dragging them into the feet slot; an Armor Stand can display them. They wear down as you take damage and can be repaired on an anvil.
