Gold Nugget item in Minecraft

What it does

Mining Nether Gold Ore in the Nether gives two to six nuggets per block, and Gilded Blackstone in bastions sometimes drops some. In a furnace, any golden tool, weapon or piece of armor melts down into a nugget, a way to recycle worn-out gear.

Nuggets are what you craft the golden foods and brewing ingredients with: eight around a carrot give a Golden Carrot, eight around a melon slice give a Glistering Melon Slice for healing potions, and eight around a dandelion give a Golden Dandelion.

A gold nugget with a sheet of paper makes a Name Tag, like any metal nugget. In a firework star, a nugget gives the explosion a star shape.
