Where to find diamonds in Minecraft: the best Y level
A Stone Pickaxe, Copper Pickaxe, Golden Pickaxe or Wooden Pickaxe breaks the block but drops nothing.

The Golden Pickaxe is a pickaxe, the mining tool for stone, ores and metal blocks. Its material decides which ores drop something when broken. Made from gold ingots, it is the fastest pickaxe and the easiest to enchant, but it has the mining tier of wood and breaks after 32 uses. It works like every other pickaxe; the Iron Pickaxe page explains mining tiers and enchantments.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 2 × Stick and 3 × Gold Ingot.
3 × Gold Ingot + 2 × Stick → Golden Pickaxe

It mines stone, ores and metal blocks, and its material decides which ores it can collect. It is an ingredient in one recipe: Gold Nugget.
32 durability points: each use removes one, and it breaks when none are left. Mending and Unbreaking can extend it.
No: only one per inventory slot.
