Deep Dark and Ancient Cities
No mobs spawn in the Deep Dark. Ancient City chests hold Echo Shards, Disc Fragments and the Swift Sneak enchantment, next to Reinforced Deepslate, which cannot be obtained in Survival.
Minecraft 1.19 “The Wild Update”
Released on 7 June 2022, Minecraft Java Edition 1.19 The Wild Update adds the Deep Dark biome with Ancient Cities and the Warden, the Mangrove Swamp with Mud and mangrove wood, Frogs, Tadpoles and the Allay. It also brings the Boat with Chest, Goat Horns, the Recovery Compass and the Swift Sneak enchantment.

Warden
It gives nearby players the new Darkness effect, disables shields with its fists and digs back underground if nothing disturbs it for 60 seconds. It drops a Sculk Catalyst on death.

Frogs, Tadpoles and Allay
Frogs eat small Slimes and small Magma Cubes; a Magma Cube eaten by a Frog drops a Froglight matching the Frog's variant. The Allay brings what it collects to the player who gave it an item, or to a Note Block it has just heard.

Mangrove Swamp
Mud covers the ground down to Stone, and Mangrove Propagules grow under the leaves, even underwater. Mud placed above a block with Pointed Dripstone below slowly turns into Clay, which makes Clay renewable.

GameplayLeaves can now be waterlogged, and blocks broken by player-ignited TNT, such as ores, now drop experience.

How do you get the Recovery Compass in 1.19?
Craft it from 1 Compass surrounded by 8 Echo Shards, which are only found in Ancient City chests. It points to the place where you last died, as long as you are in the same dimension.
How does the Warden spawn?
In the Deep Dark, when enough Sculk Shriekers have been alerted to your presence. Sneaking stops Sculk Sensors from detecting you, and the doWardenSpawning game rule can turn Warden spawning off.
Do 1.18.2 data packs, resource packs and mods work in 1.19?
Not without an update: the data pack format is now 10 and the resource pack format 9. Mods also need a build for 1.19. Old worlds still open, and underground biomes now blend with old terrain too.
