Raw Porkchop
Item

Raw Porkchop item in Minecraft

Present since 1.0 or earlier Stack size: 64

The Raw Porkchop is the meat dropped by Pigs, one to three each, and by hoglins in the Nether. Cooked, it becomes one of the most filling foods in the game, on par with steak.

It cannot be crafted; it can be found in chests.

What it does

Raw, it restores three hunger points with little saturation. A Cooked Porkchop restores eight with very high saturation, so a pig farm and a smoker solve the food question for good. Killing a pig with fire, for instance with a Fire Aspect sword, drops it already cooked.

Hoglins in crimson forests drop two to four porkchops each, the main source of meat in the Nether. Piglins pick up porkchops and eat them, and bastion stables keep some in their chests.

As meat, porkchops also heal and feed tamed wolves. A novice Butcher buys raw porkchops for emeralds.
