Cake block in Minecraft
The Cake is a placed cake that you eat slice by slice, right from the block. It is the plain cake, the only form you can craft and carry.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 3 × Milk Bucket, 2 × Sugar and 3 × Wheat. It can be composted: each one has a 100% chance to add a layer to a Composter.
What it does
A cake is crafted from three milk buckets, two sugar, an egg and three wheat, and the buckets come back empty. It cannot be eaten from your hand: place it, then use it to eat one of its seven slices, each restoring two hunger points. That makes it a good shared food for a group.
Put a Candle on a cake that nobody has started yet and it becomes a candle cake you can light. A Redstone Comparator next to a cake reads how many slices are left, which some players use in redstone puzzles. A cake goes into a composter whole and always adds a layer.
