Decorated Pots as storage
A pot holds one stack of items that Hoppers, Droppers and Minecarts with Hopper can insert or extract, and a Comparator reads its fill level. There is no menu: break the pot to get the items back.

Released on 5 December 2023, Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.3 turns Decorated Pots into storage for one stack of items, gives the Bat a new model and makes the Shield follow your view in third person. It also adds the optional Update 1.21 experiment with the Crafter, the Breeze, Trial Chambers and new Copper and Tuff blocks.

The Crafter crafts from a 3x3 grid on each redstone pulse. Copper Bulbs give light level 15, 12, 8 or 4 depending on oxidation, next to Copper Grates, Doors, Trapdoors and a full Tuff family.
Structure
Trial Chambers and Breeze (experimental)
Trial Chambers generate in the Deepslate layer, and their Trial Spawners get harder as more players approach. The Breeze leaps at its targets and fires Wind Charges.

On 5 December 2023, for Java Edition. The 1.20.4 hotfix followed two days later, on 7 December 2023, to stop items disappearing from Decorated Pots.
How do you try the Crafter and the Breeze in 1.20.3?
Turn on the Update 1.21 experiment on the Experiments screen when creating a world. These features were still in development and do not appear in normal worlds.
Why is Grass now called Short Grass?
1.20.3 renamed the block and item minecraft:grass to minecraft:short_grass. Commands, data packs and resource packs that use the old ID need updating.
Do 1.20.2 data packs and resource packs work in 1.20.3?
Not without an update: the data pack format goes from 18 to 26 and the resource pack format from 18 to 22. Mods also need a build for 1.20.3.
