Granite block in Minecraft
Granite is a pinkish-red stone with darker flecks, common in large pockets underground and on cliffs. It mines like ordinary stone, keeps its form when broken, and adds a warm color to any stone palette.
It is made with the Crafting Table from Diorite and Nether Quartz. It is mined with a pickaxe.
What it does
You rarely need to craft it, since natural pockets are huge, but one diorite with one nether quartz gives a granite block. Four granite make four Polished Granite, a smooth reddish block that works well for floors and trims.
Granite has slabs, stairs and walls, and polished granite has slabs and stairs. A Stonecutter makes any of them without waste. Its color pairs naturally with spruce wood, terracotta and bricks.
A journeyman Mason buys granite for emeralds, a handy outlet for the stacks you collect while mining.
