Smelt Raw Iron in the Furnace to get Iron Ingots.

The Raw Iron drops one per iron ore and smelts into an Iron Ingot. Raw metal is what a metal ore drops when mined without Silk Touch, ready to be smelted.
It is made with the Crafting Table from Block of Raw Iron.
Smelt it in a furnace or, twice as fast, in a Blast Furnace to get one ingot per piece. Fortune raises the number of pieces from each ore, which is why miners keep Silk Touch for other blocks.
Nine pieces make a raw block for compact storage, and the block turns back into nine.
Block of Raw Iron → 9 × Raw Iron

Smelt Raw Iron in the Furnace to get Iron Ingots.
A Stone Pickaxe or Copper Pickaxe is enough; each ore drops 1 Raw Iron.
At the Crafting Table: 1 × Block of Raw Iron gives 9 × Raw Iron.
It is unrefined metal that you smelt into ingots. It is an ingredient in 2 recipes, made at the Blast Furnace, Furnace and Crafting Table; for example Iron Ingot and Block of Raw Iron.
