Brush item in Minecraft
The Brush is the archaeology tool: brushing Suspicious Sand or Suspicious Gravel slowly reveals the item buried inside. It also lets you collect scutes from armadillos.
It is made with the Crafting Table from Copper Ingot, Stick and Feather.
What it does
Hold the use button on a suspicious block and keep brushing until the item pops out; the block is then plain sand or gravel again. If you stop halfway, the item slowly sinks back. Breaking the block instead destroys the find.
Suspicious blocks are found in desert pyramids, desert wells, ocean ruins and Trail Ruins, and they hide pottery sherds, armor trims and other relics.
Brushing an Armadillo makes it drop an Armadillo Scute, used to craft Wolf Armor. This costs much more durability than brushing a block.
