Clear the sky
/weather clearStops rain or a storm at once. The game picks how long the clear weather lasts.

The /weather command sets clear skies, rain or a thunderstorm, for a chosen time or for a duration picked by the game. It helps when you need a storm for a trident with Channeling, want sunshine for a build session or test how mobs react to rain.

/weather clearCalculated from the Java Edition 26.3 game files
rain brings rain, or snow in cold biomes; deserts, savannas and badlands stay dry. thunder adds lightning and darkens the sky enough for hostile mobs to spawn during the day. Weather only exists in the Overworld: the Nether and the End never see it.
A thunderstorm is the only time a Trident with Channeling calls lightning, and lightning striking a Creeper makes it charged. Players can also sleep during a thunderstorm.
The duration uses the time format. A number alone counts ticks, so /weather rain 600 lasts 30 seconds. Only the units d, s and t exist: write 300s, not 5m.
When the time runs out, the normal weather cycle takes over again. To keep the current weather forever, set advance_weather to false with /gamerule. For lightning on demand, /summon minecraft:lightning_bolt works in any weather. Day and night are handled by /time.

Your biome may be dry, like a desert or a savanna, or cold, where rain falls as snow. In the Nether and the End there is no weather at all.
Run /weather clear, then /gamerule advance_weather false. The sky stays clear until you set the rule back to true.
