/setworldspawn command in Minecraft
The /setworldspawn command moves the world spawn: the place where new players appear and where players without a bed or respawn anchor come back after death. You can also choose the direction they face when they spawn.
Syntax

Examples
Spawn at fixed coordinates
/setworldspawn 0 64 0Places the world spawn at X 0, Y 64, Z 0, for example in a lobby.
Spawn facing north

Command generatorWorld spawn or personal spawn
The world spawn applies to everyone who has no personal spawn point. A bed or a Respawn Anchor overrides it, and so does /spawnpoint, which sets the respawn of a single player. A normal Compass in the Overworld points to the world spawn, so moving it also moves where compasses point.
Spawn radius
Players do not always land on the exact block. The game rule respawn_radius spreads them around the spawn. Set it to 0 with /gamerule for a precise spawn, for example on a lobby platform or at the start of an adventure map.
Tips
- Run it without coordinates while standing on the spot: the block at your feet becomes the spawn.
- The rotation needs a position first:
/setworldspawn ~ ~ ~ 180 0. - New players use the world spawn on their first join, so set it before you open a server.
- Dead players without a bed come back here too, so keep the area safe from mobs and lava.
The game confirms with "Set the world spawn point to x, y, z" followed by the rotation. To move players who are already in the world, use /teleport.

Why do players not spawn exactly on the block I chose?
The respawn_radius game rule spreads players around the world spawn. Set it to 0 with /gamerule respawn_radius 0.
Does /setworldspawn change where I respawn after sleeping in a bed?
No. A bed or respawn anchor has priority for that player. The world spawn is used only when no personal spawn point is set.
