Jump ten blocks up
/tp @s ~ ~10 ~Moves you ten blocks straight up from where you stand.

/teleport, or its short alias /tp, moves players and entities to coordinates or to another entity. It can also set the direction they face. Builders use it to cross a map instantly, and map makers to send players to checkpoints or arenas.
/teleport <destination>/teleport <location>/teleport <targets> (<destination>|<location>)| Argument | Expects | What it does |

| location | Position (x y z) | Target coordinates x y z: absolute, relative with ~ ~ ~, or local with ^ ^ ^. |
| targets | Entity selectorone or several | Entities to teleport: @s, @a, @p, a name or a filtered selector. Without it, you are the one teleported. |
| facingEntityoptional | Entity selectorone | Entity that the teleported targets turn to face after arriving. |
| facingAnchoroptional | eyes / feet | Which point of the facing entity to look at: eyes or feet. |
| facingLocationoptional | Position (x y z) | Coordinates that the teleported targets turn to face, for example ~ ~ ~10. |

/tp @s ~ ~10 ~Moves you ten blocks straight up from where you stand.
/tp @a @sAll online players are teleported to your position.
/teleport @s 0 100 0 90 0Sends you to 0 100 0 looking west, with a level view.
/tp @s ^ ^ ^10Local coordinates move you ten blocks in the direction you are looking.
/tp @s ~ ~ ~ facing entity @e[type=minecraft:villager,limit=1,sort=nearest]You stay in place but turn to look at the nearest Villager.
/tp 250 80 -1200Sends you to X 250, Y 80, Z -1200. Press F3 first to read your own position.
/tp Alex SteveMoves the player Alex to the player Steve, even if Steve is in another dimension.
/tp @e[type=minecraft:wolf,distance=..20] @sEvery wolf within 20 blocks is teleported to your position.
/tp @s ~ ~ ~ ~90 ~You keep your position and turn 90 degrees to the right.
/execute in minecraft:the_nether run tp @s 100 70 -30The coordinates are read in the Nether. Divide Overworld X and Z by 8 to land near the matching spot.

/teleport needs cheats, or operator rights on a server. In singleplayer:
op YourName in the server console).Hardcore worlds cannot turn cheats on. Open the chat with T or / and type the command. Without permission, the game answers "Unknown or incomplete command".
Instead of a player name, you can use a target selector: @s yourself, @p the nearest player, @a all players, @r a random player, @e all entities (mobs, items, players) and @n the nearest entity. Filters go in square brackets, for example @e[type=minecraft:wolf,distance=..20] for every wolf within 20 blocks.
The first target is who moves, the second is where they go. The destination must be a single entity, so add limit=1 when you use @e there, or use @n or @p. A rotation or facing only works when you name the target first, for example /tp @s 0 64 0 facing 0 64 10.
Absolute coordinates such as 100 64 -200 point to an exact place; Y is the height, and F3 shows your own position. With ~, values are relative to the current position along the world axes: X grows to the east and Z to the south, so ~100 ~ ~ moves you 100 blocks east. With ^, they follow the view direction, in the order left, up, forward: ^ ^ ^5 moves five blocks forward. You cannot mix ~ and ^ in one position. Whole X and Z values land in the middle of the block.
The rotation is yaw then pitch: yaw 0 faces south, 90 west, 180 north and -90 east; pitch -90 looks straight up and 90 straight down. To turn on the spot, keep ~ ~ ~ and change only the rotation.
Coordinates always refer to the current dimension. To change dimension, run the command through /execute: /execute in minecraft:the_nether run tp @s 0 80 0. Use minecraft:the_end for the End and minecraft:overworld to come back. Teleporting to an entity, such as another player, also takes you to its dimension.
The game does not convert coordinates. One block in the Nether equals 8 blocks in the Overworld on X and Z, while Y stays the same: divide by 8 on the way in, multiply by 8 on the way back. The converter below does the math.

1 block in the Nether = 8 blocks in the Overworld. Y does not change.
| Overworld | Nether |
|---|---|
| X 0 · Z 0 | X 0 · Z 0 |
| X 800 · Z 800 | X 100 · Z 100 |
| X 8,000 · Z 8,000 | X 1,000 · Z 1,000 |
| X -2,400 · Z -2,400 | X -300 · Z -300 |
Throw an eye, stand where it went, note X, Z and the facing angle. Move 200+ blocks sideways and do it again.
The first number after "Facing" on the F3 screen, while looking at the eye.
| Ring | Strongholds | Distance from 0, 0 (blocks) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 3 | 1,296 – 2,800 |
| 2 | 6 | 4,368 – 5,872 |
| 3 | 10 | 7,440 – 8,944 |
| 4 | 15 | 10,512 – 12,016 |
| 5 | 21 | 13,584 – 15,088 |
| 6 | 28 | 16,656 – 18,160 |
| 7 | 36 | 19,728 – 21,232 |
| 8 | 9 | 22,800 – 24,304 |
Maps snap to a fixed grid. Every map that contains your position, at each zoom level:
| Zoom 0 (128×128 blocks) | Centre 0, 0 |
| Zoom 1 (256×256 blocks) | Centre 64, 64 |
| Zoom 2 (512×512 blocks) | Centre 192, 192 |
| Zoom 3 (1024×1024 blocks) | Centre 448, 448 |
| Zoom 4 (2048×2048 blocks) | Centre 960, 960 |
/teleport does not check where you land. You can end up inside stone, in mid-air or in lava.
/effect give @s minecraft:slow_falling 30, teleport high (for example Y 200) and glide down.Unloaded or never-visited chunks are no problem: the game generates the destination before you arrive, which can take a second.
| Message | Cause and fix |
|---|---|
| Unknown or incomplete command | Cheats are off or there is a typo. Turn on Allow Cheats and check the spelling. |
| No player was found | The name is wrong or the player is offline. |
| Only one entity is allowed, but the provided selector allows more than one | The destination can match several entities. Add limit=1 or use @n or @p. |
| Cannot mix world and local coordinates | You combined ~ and ^. Use one type for all three values. |
| Incomplete (expected 3 coordinates) | A value is missing. Write ~ for any axis you want to keep. |
| Invalid position for teleport | X or Z is beyond ±30,000,000, or Y beyond ±20,000,000. |
To scatter players randomly, use /spreadplayers; to set where they respawn, /spawnpoint. In Survival, an Ender Pearl or a Chorus Fruit teleports you without any command.

None. /tp is an alias of /teleport and accepts exactly the same arguments.
Wrap the command in /execute in, for example /execute in minecraft:the_end run tp @s 0 70 0. Teleporting to an entity that is in another dimension also works.
Run /locate structure #minecraft:village (or another structure ID). The chat shows the coordinates; click them and the game fills in a /tp @s command for you.
The basic forms are the same, but Bedrock writes dimensions without the namespace, for example /execute in nether run tp ~ ~ ~, and adds an optional checkForBlocks argument.
Type it in the chat with cheats on: /teleport <destination>.
