Shut the server down
/stopSaves the worlds, disconnects everyone with Server closed and stops the server.

/stop saves every world and shuts the dedicated server down cleanly, disconnecting all players. It needs operator level 4, so it is usually typed in the server console or by the owner of the server.
/stop// Only on a dedicated server: the command does not exist in single player or in a world opened to LAN.

/say Server restart in 1 minuteBroadcasts a message to everyone a minute before you run /stop.
Fill in the fields, then copy the command.
Command generatorThe console shows Stopping the server, players see Server closed, and the server writes all chunks and player data before closing. Always prefer it to killing the process, which can lose recent changes. /stop does not restart anything: a restart depends on your host or your start script.
Give players notice first with /say, for example one minute before. For a backup without shutting down, use /save-off and /save-all instead. Players can reconnect as soon as the server is running again.
