Sulfur block in Minecraft
Sulfur is a yellow stone that forms the walls of the Sulfur Caves, a cave biome of the Overworld. It mines like stone with a pickaxe and opens a whole new family of building blocks.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 4 × Sulfur Spike. It is mined with a pickaxe.
What it does
Sulfur drops itself when mined, and four Sulfur Spikes, the pointed growths of the same caves, craft back into a sulfur block. It has its own slabs, stairs and walls, and turns into Polished Sulfur, sulfur bricks and chiseled sulfur on a Stonecutter or in the crafting grid.
Nine sulfur blocks combine into a Potent Sulfur block, a more reactive form of the mineral. The Sulfur Caves are also home to the Sulfur Cube, so keep an eye out while you quarry.
With its bright yellow color, sulfur gives builders a warm stone palette that no other block offers, and it resists explosions as well as ordinary stone.
