How to disenchant items with a grindstone in Minecraft
The recipe uses 2 Sticks, 1 Stone Slab and 2 planks of any wood:

The Stone Slab is plain smooth-faced stone cut into a slab. Its material is Stone, so it keeps that block's look and toughness. All slabs, stairs and walls work alike, as the Stone Slab, Stone Stairs and Cobblestone Wall pages explain; the Stone page covers the material.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 3 × Stone (other recipes also exist). It is mined with a pickaxe.
A slab fills half of a block space. Placed against the lower half of a face it sits at the bottom, against the upper half it hangs at the top, and a second identical slab clicked into the same space merges into a full double slab. You walk up a bottom slab without jumping, and hostile mobs cannot spawn on bottom slabs, which makes them a classic flooring for safe areas.
Three blocks in a row make six slabs, and a Stonecutter cuts one block into two. A single slab can also hold water, handy for decorative pools and aquariums.
3 × Stone → 6 × Stone Slab
Stone → 2 × Stone Slab
// Slots with several items cycle through every accepted option.
The recipe uses 2 Sticks, 1 Stone Slab and 2 planks of any wood:
| type | top · bottom · double |
|---|---|
| waterlogged | true · false |
At the Crafting Table: 3 × Stone give 6 × Stone Slab. At the Stonecutter: 1 × Stone gives 2 × Stone Slab. Mining the block drops it.
It is a building shape of Stone, used for floors, roofs, steps and low walls. It is an ingredient in one recipe: Grindstone.
The fastest tool is the pickaxe.
No difference: the Stonecutter turns 1 × Stone into 2 × Stone Slab, the same rate as the crafting recipe (3 × Stone for 6).
Placed under a Note Block, Stone Slab gives the Bass drum sound.
