Oak Sign block in Minecraft
Its board is painted on the common oak of forests and plains. A sign displays text you write on it, on both its front and its back.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 6 × Oak Planks and Stick. It is mined with an axe. As fuel it burns for 10 seconds in a Furnace, enough to smelt 1 items.
What it does
Six planks and a stick make three signs. Place one on the ground or on a wall and a text box opens; click it again to edit, and use the other side for a second message. Signs stack to sixteen.
A dye colors the text, a Glow Ink Sac makes it glow in the dark, and an ink sac removes the glow again. A Honeycomb waxes the sign so nobody can edit it anymore. Signs also stop water and lava from flowing, a trick used in underwater bases and mob farms.
