Release Java Edition Bug-fix update Patch of 1.14 Village & Pillage

Minecraft 1.14.3

Released on 24 June 2019, Minecraft Java Edition 1.14.3 tweaks several Village & Pillage features and fixes 61 bugs found in 1.14.2. Items can be repaired in the crafting grid again, enchanting works as it did before 1.14, and illager patrols spawn less often and no longer include Vindicators.

Released 24 Jun 2019 Resource pack format 4 Data version 1968

Key takeaways

  • Repair and enchanting: items can again be repaired by crafting them together, and the enchanting system was reverted to its pre-1.14 behaviour.
  • Patrols: Vindicators are no longer part of patrols, the minimum spawn time doubles to 10 minutes, and patrols can spawn in any biome except mushroom biomes.
  • Raids: a new game rule, disableRaids, turns raids off.

What changed

BlocksTorches, Lanterns and pressure plates can be placed on Glass Panes and Iron Bars, and Lanterns can hang below them.
MobsPatrols no longer spawn where block light prevents monster spawning.
VillagersPanicking villagers have a bigger chance of spawning Iron Golems if they can work and sleep, and MC-149443 fixes Iron Golems spawning too often.
VillagersFarmers spend more time farming and can always give food away, and last slept and last worked times are now saved.
FixesMC-146835: an illager captain spawned by a raid gave Bad Omen to its killer, so raids never ended. MC-151753: more than one raid could happen in a village.
GameplayThe How Did We Get Here? advancement no longer requires Saturation.
