Lodestone block in Minecraft
The Lodestone is a block that a Compass can be linked to. Once linked, the compass always points to that Lodestone, which makes it a reliable way to find your way home, even in the Nether.
It is made with the Crafting Table from Iron Ingot and 8 × Chiseled Stone Bricks. It is mined with a pickaxe.
What it does
Use a compass on a Lodestone to turn it into a Lodestone Compass. It points to the block from anywhere in the same dimension, while a normal compass spins uselessly in the Nether and the End.
You can link as many compasses as you like, and to as many Lodestones: one for your base, one for a portal, one for a farm. If the Lodestone is broken, its compasses start spinning.
It is crafted from Chiseled Stone Bricks and an Iron Ingot, and it can also be found in some bastion remnant and ruined portal chests.
