Oak Boat item in Minecraft
Its hull is built from the common oak of forests and plains. A boat carries you across water much faster than swimming, with room for a second passenger.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 5 × Oak Planks. As fuel it burns for 60 seconds in a Furnace, enough to smelt 6 items.
What it does
Five planks of one wood make a boat. Place it on water, get in by using it, and steer with the movement keys. It holds two: a second player, or a mob pushed into it, which is a handy way to move villagers or animals. Boats also glide very fast on ice, the basis of ice roads in the Nether.
Hitting a boat a few times breaks it back into an item. Bamboo planks make a raft instead of a boat, with the same behavior, and adding a chest to any boat turns it into a boat with chest.
