Shelf Mushroom block in Minecraft
The Shelf Mushroom is a flat bracket fungus that grows on the side of poplar trunks in the dappled forest.
It can be composted: each one has a 65% chance to add a layer to a Composter.
What it does
Place it against the side of a block; it sticks out like a small shelf, and creatures that land on it bounce off. Bone meal makes it grow to its larger stage, which drops two mushrooms instead of one.
It counts as a mushroom in recipes, so it can replace a red or brown mushroom in mushroom stew, rabbit stew and suspicious stew.

Mining the block drops it. Sold by Wandering Trader.
What is Shelf Mushroom used for in Minecraft?
It is a wall fungus that bounces creatures and works as a mushroom in stews. It is an ingredient in 3 recipes, made at the Crafting Table; for example Mushroom Stew, Rabbit Stew and Suspicious Stew.
Can you compost Shelf Mushroom?
Yes. Each Shelf Mushroom put in a Composter has a 65% chance to add a layer (the first layer in an empty Composter always works). After 7 layers the Composter gives Bone Meal.
