Oak Fence Gate block in Minecraft
The gate's frame comes from the common oak of forests and plains. A fence gate is the door of a fence: it opens with a click or redstone and keeps animals in when closed.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 4 × Stick and 2 × Oak Planks. It is mined with an axe. As fuel it burns for 15 seconds in a Furnace, enough to smelt 1.5 items.
What it does
Four sticks and two planks make one gate. Closed, it is as tall as a fence; open, players and mobs walk through. It always swings away from you, and it connects to fences on both sides and sits lower when placed between walls.
Gates are useful anywhere you need a passage in a fence: pastures, farms and gardens. A pressure plate or lever can open them automatically, and like other Nether woods, crimson and warped gates never burn.
