Redstone basics in Minecraft: dust, repeater, comparator, observer
in Java, pistons, dispensers and droppers can also be switched on by power aimed at the block above them, and Bedrock has no such rule.

The Dropper is a redstone block with nine slots that drops one item each time it receives a signal. Unlike the dispenser, it never uses items: it only spits them out, or pushes them into a container in front of it.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 7 × Cobblestone and Redstone Dust. It is mined with a pickaxe.
Each redstone pulse makes the dropper eject one random item from its inventory through its front face. If a chest, hopper, furnace or another dropper sits in front, the item goes straight into it instead, which makes droppers chains a way to lift items upward, where hoppers can only go down or sideways.
Droppers are used in item elevators, in sorting and storage systems, in vending machines on servers and wherever items should come out one by one. Combined with a comparator reading its contents, it can also build counters and combination locks.
Seven cobblestone and a redstone dust make one, and a dropper is part of the Crafter recipe. Pistons cannot move it.
7 × Cobblestone + Redstone Dust → Dropper
// Slots with several items cycle through every accepted option.

At the Crafting Table: 7 × Cobblestone and 1 × Redstone Dust give 1 × Dropper. Mining the block drops it.
It drops or pushes one item per redstone pulse, and is used in item elevators, sorters and the crafter recipe. It is an ingredient in one recipe: Crafter.
The fastest tool is the pickaxe.
Placed under a Note Block, Dropper gives the Bass drum sound.
No: pistons cannot move it.
