Daylight Detector block in Minecraft
A Daylight Detector sends a redstone signal that follows the strength of sunlight.
It is made with the Crafting Table from 3 × Glass, 3 × Nether Quartz and 3 × Oak Slab (or another variant). It is mined with an axe. As fuel it burns for 15 seconds in a Furnace, enough to smelt 1.5 items.
What it does
Three Glass, three Nether Quartz and three wooden slabs make one. The signal grows during the day and drops at night and in bad weather. Use it to switch it to inverted mode, which turns it into a night sensor, perfect for lamps that light up at dusk.
How to craft
3 × Glass + 3 × Nether Quartz + 3 × Any of #wooden_slabs → Daylight Detector
// Slots with several items cycle through every accepted option.
