Sculk Sensor block in Minecraft
The Sculk Sensor hears vibrations, such as footsteps, blocks breaking or doors opening, and answers with a redstone signal. It grows in the Deep Dark and is used to build silent alarms and detectors.
It cannot be crafted; it can be found in chests. It is mined with a hoe. It gives off light level 1.
What it does
It picks up vibrations up to 8 blocks away and stays active for a moment after each one. The closer the vibration, the stronger the signal, so the output also tells you how far away the noise was.
Sneaking does not create vibrations, and wool blocks vibrations and does not make any when placed or broken. Placing an Block of Amethyst next to the sensor relays what it hears to other sensors.
Mine it with a hoe and Silk Touch to keep it: without Silk Touch it only drops experience. The Calibrated Sculk Sensor can be tuned to react to one kind of vibration only.
