Lilac block in Minecraft

Present since 1.7.2 or earlier Stack size: 64

The Lilac grows in forests and flower forests; it gives Magenta Dye. It is a tall flower, two blocks high, that gives two dyes at a time.

It can be composted: each one has a 65% chance to add a layer to a Composter.

What it does

Crafted alone, a tall flower gives two dyes of its color. Use Bone Meal on most of them and they drop a copy of themselves, so a single plant becomes an endless dye source. Bees pollinate tall flowers too.

It needs two free blocks of height and breaks entirely if either half is broken. Water flowing over it washes it away. Tall flowers cannot be potted, but they make lush hedges and garden borders.
